The history of RESCAD
The history of RESCAD begins in 2004. as Gian Heim, who had already worked for several years in institutional asset management for ROLEX Holding and for the ROLEX pension funds, was entrusted with the establishment and subsequent administration of two charitable foundations. From that moment onward, the administration and organization of donations to non-profit institutions were part of his core area of responsibility. So many years of experience make therefore RESCAD an expert in institutional asset management, pension fund management, philanthropy and family office services.
Due to the very positive development of assets under management, Gian founded RESCAD AG in 2010 with the aim of making management services available to private clients as well. Since then, assets under management have been rising steadily. This encouraging growth ultimately prompted RESCAD to seek certification and supervision by FINMA (the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority) in 2019 and, at the same time, to launch two proprietary investment funds and a swiss indirect real estate L-QIF Fund in 2024.
Gian Heim
Founder & CEO
Since 1991 Gian has gained global experience in Private Banking and Asset Management within various instituions such as Credit Suisse, the Cantonal Bank of Grisons, ROLEX Holding and the ROLEX Pension Funds.
Before founding RESCAD in 2010, he served as Deputy Head of Asset Management at the ROLEX group and as a member of the Investment Committee of the ROLEX pension funds, where he was responsible for investments.
He also acted as Portfolio Manager for the Swiss Equity portfolio of ROLEX Holding and the ROLEX pension funds.
Previously, at the Cantonal Bank of Grisons, he was a member of the Investment Committee and responsible for the Private Banking clientele in the Chur region.

Giorgio Frazzetto
Director
Giorgio spent the first 15 years of his career at Credit Suisse in Geneva, where he concluded his tenure in the Private Banking division.
In 2009, he joined Trillium SA as a Financial Analyst and was also involved in the launch of the Manavest fund.
He joined RESCAD in 2012, where he has held various positions and currently oversees risk management, compliance, and administration.

Marc-Christian Bollet
Director
Marc-Christian has over 25 years’ experience in asset management for institutional and private clients. During his career, he has worked for a number of independent asset managers as both portfolio and relationship manager, specialising in strategic allocation, analysis and asset selection for multi-assets and equity mandates.
In October 2024, he joined RESCAD as co-portfolio manager of RESCAD’s products and Head of Research.

Nicolas Serra
Analyst
In parallel with his studies at EHL and the University of Geneva, Nicolas gained initial professional experience in compliance and internal audit at IMPACT Initiatives, and in project management and customer experience improvement at Porsche.
He then joined the Pictet Group, where he worked in the Client Register department on client data management, regulatory compliance, and process optimization.
In August 2025, Nicolas joined RESCAD as a financial analyst.

Heidi Goh-Zihlmann
Administrative assistant
Heidi has more than 25 years of experience as a commercial employee, gained in various departments of international companies such as Sony, Caterpillar, Sanofi-Aventis and DHL.
She joined RESCAD in 2013.
